Duratec Polyester Surfacing Compounds
Two component polyester mold sealer and surfacing compounds. Ideal for putting a durable, hard, class "A" surface on wood or MDF models. Also may be used to resurface polyester molds to increase mold life.

Duratec Surfacing Primer:
Available in gray, this 2 component polyester mold surfacing resin provides a quick method of applying a hard, high gloss, durable surface to wood, MDF, Urethane foam, and plaster. Applied with a brush, roller, or spray, this mold surfacing compound is ready to sand within 2-4 hours. This material features a 16-18 minute gel time for applications to large or small molds. Coverage: 110-115 sq ft at .010" thickness. Mix ratio is 100 parts resin : 2 parts catalyst.

Duratec Vinyl Ester Primer 1799-005:
This gray, 2 component polyester surfacing compound is similar to the regular Duratec Surfacing Primer but offers a higher heat distortion temperature of 300°F. This heat resistance makes this product ideal for use in surfacing large or small vacuum form tools, as a high temperature gel coat to be reinforced with epoxy laminates, as well as general mold resurfacing projects. This material features an 18-22 minute gel time and may be sanded within 1-6 hours to a high gloss finish. Coverage: 110-115 sq ft at .010" thickness. Mix ratio is 100 parts resin : 2 parts catalyst.

Duratec Polyester Sealer 823 Clear:
A low viscosity, rapid curing, penetrating, 2 component sealer that anchor Duarte surfacing primer and vinyl ester primer to porous materials such as MDF, wood, plaster, and concrete. 14-16 minute gel time and may be top coated in 1-2 hours. Do not sand the sealer prior to top coating. Coverage: 400 sq ft with one thin application. Mix ratio is 100 parts resin : 2 parts catalyst.

Duratec Hardener
