Freeman Square-Head Steel Dowels

Freeman Square-Head Steel Dowels offer good wear resistance and high strength. They are used for aluminum, gray iron, brass or plastic pattern equipment. Especially useful for shell mold and hot box pattern equipment.

The familiar square head remains one of the best methods of offering a sturdy bearing surface for the inserting wrench to grasp, either for putting in or for replacing worn dowels. Those dowels which have been frozen in threads by foundry use can be removed with adjustable wrenches. All parts of one size are interchangeable, so changes in pin length or bushing length are possible without completely reworking the job.

For your convenience, these dowels are sold both individually and in box quantities (number of sets per box listed in description).
