The most economical choice for the patternmaker, this grade is typically used for medium to large applications where cost of the lumber is of primary importance and surface rework is allowed. The most notable surface imperfections are random knots on both surfaces. Tight knots may be up to 4 1/2" in diameter while loose knots may be up to 2 1/2" in diameter.
