Ren Shape 2000 High-Temperature Injection Mold Board
|
RenShape 2000 is specifically designed for the fast machining of injection molds, resin transfer molds, vacuum form molds, and other tooling that requires very high temperature and chemical resistances. Molds created from RenShape 2000 may be polished to a metallic finish and are capable of producing hundreds of accurate thermoplastic parts.
Bonding Procedure
1. Mill the surface to be bonded to remove any release agents.
2. Rough surface with 40 grit sand paper (not emery paper).
3. Wipe the dust off with a clean, dry rag followed by an acetone wipe.
4. Paint both surfaces to be bonded with the mixed RenGel 4026/1501 using a nylon brush cut down to make it stiffer, and lightly clamp the pieces together.
5. Let the bond line gel at room temperature overnight.
6. Post Cure for 8 hours at 150 F then let the bonded block return to room temperature slowly with the oven door closed.
It is important that no more then a 50 F differential is allowed to develop between the surface and the center of the material.
